This piece is a small sculpture of a bison laying down with the head tilted toward and against its' calf which stands in front of it. It is mounted on a piece of wild cherry wood. The mount is done with a semipermanent adhesive so the pieces can be separated. Both figures are ceramic. The female bison is finished with a red iron oxide wash and the calf with a rutile wash.
