Handbuilt porcelain frame, glaze painting
Two figures emerge out of a green haze. One stands atop a brown stump, the other looks up but the glaze drags their face down. Their colors seep into the bottom of the pinched frame, where the marks of a finger pushing down in swift, decisive motions define the edge of the image. The porcelain is jagged and unsmoothed under it's shiny surface, and it is clear where slab meets pinch. This object is blurred memory of summer and friendship, both rough and glossy in the way memories are sharp under the soft erosion of time.
