As a senior in high school during this turbulent time, I have gained a much greater appreciation for any escape from the chaos that surrounds daily life during the coronavirus pandemic. In making this ceramic teapot, I sought to mimic my constant struggle to maintain some sense of normalcy in such an abnormal time; I constructed it using the same processes and techniques that I would when making a larger teapot. Despite its significantly reduced scale, I threw and trimmed the body and lid on a pottery wheel, threw the spout, and pulled the handle. Though it does not function very well due to its size, it does have a removable lid and a functioning spout.
