Inspired by Native American seed pots, or as some have called "weed" pots, these tiny vessels are functional works of art. Having fallen in love with atmospheric firings -- gas reduction, salt, wood and raku -- these little gems are mini playgrounds through which I get to experiment and play. I work with 5-8 different clay bodies at any given time because they produce vastly different results. And I love to adorn my pieces with a different and unique combination of glazes or materials such as wood ash or gold luster. All of these elements combined are meant to delight the viewer as s/he holds the piece close to the eye to discover its wonders!
