Ping Zhong

A central theme in my work is exploring connections - between individuals across countries and cultures, linking the past and present, and examining personal growth and change. As a ceramic artist, I always fire my works at high temperatures for optimal results. What excites me the most is the unpredictability of the glaze, which I cannot fully control. This anticipation fuels my passion and motivation for my next project. I have a special admiration for high-temperature fired porcelain because it represents the idea that beauty can arise from harsh experiences. This sentiment parallels our own lives, where hard work and difficult lessons lead to ultimate rewards.
