The concept behind my work in general is to “Facing Tradition". One of the characteristics of traditional Japanese culture is the tendency for a sense of beauty to be concentrated in a small "inner world" and refined within that world. This is especially true in crafts and fine arts, where it is often formalized. I would like to discuss the aesthetic sense of unglazed (non-glaze) ceramics.
