Emily Selvin

Emily Selvin loves the ancient process of lost wax casting and uses glass to create her sculptures. Coming from a background of traditional medieval glass techniques and photography she finds making her sculptures fun and playful. These sculptures draw their inspiration from Selvin’s dreams, the perception of time, and toys and objects from her childhood. Layers of imagery and narrative are brought together through her love of ancient illuminated texts, historical stained glass windows, and objects of reliquary throughout human history.
