Robbie Teasdale

Robbie Teasdale is a clay artist, firefighter, and certified rescue diver from Lake Turkana, Kenya. He discovered his love for working in clay at Rift Valley Academy boarding school in 2009 and he never stopped. Robbie is a 2021 South Arts Emerging Traditional Artist and is using his award to build a community wood-fired kiln at his parent's farm in Decatur, GA. His current work in progress is "9985", a collection of small bud vases, one to represent each day of his beloved big sister's life lost to suicide. You can see the project's progression on Instagram @paxpottery In November of 2022, Robbie gave one of his kidneys to someone he came across on Tiktok, they matched in blood as if they were family. It is his proudest endeavor.
