Dana DuMont

My background is in craft materials, mixed media, and art history, and my grounding influences include arts from all cultures, the natural world, the concept of shared prosperity, and my perception of wisdom and good humor. The tiny houses spring from a place of myth and fable connected to the meanings and impacts of what a home is or can be. They all elicit stories, some become luminaries or lidded vessels containing treasures, and each one is a reminder that dwellings, and the idea of them, hold the details and dreams of lives. Their textured forms and sizes vary and are created with low fire or midrange clay finished with underglazes, glazes, inks and acrylics.
