Odalis Gomez

As an artist I have lived through the emotional, physical, psychological, illness and health experiences that surround me, associating the forms of Art and how they can be applied to everyday life, not only as a self-reflection of memory, but as a way of generating inclusive interactions capable of creating new ways by relating. Using three-dimensional elements in drawings or sculptures in mixed media I create the narrative between the viewer and the work to refer to moments, memories or sensations that propose an introspection that runs through the visceral tract to lead to intangible emotions of being and nature. The work builds a language anchored in memory, grief and even melancholy. I present organs, portraits, dialogues or situations as a lonely island that fights its own emotional charge generated by memory.
