Rhythms that echo words and fragments become these vessels. Words are vessels, and language is a topography of embedded, threaded fragments in which I find myself floating and buried. I slip trail these porcelain pieces by hand, inverting traditional decoration into construction and inserting shards from years of broken and failed works. Some bear elastic words such as “present” as their foundation, and some quietly and nonverbally resonate.
