My artwork is an ongoing exploration into art objects and their ever-evolving interpretations over time. I am interested in the multiple narratives that exist simultaneously within these objects, their materiality, and the contexts in which they exist. I am intrigued by how the specificity of an object can transcend its physicality and transform it into a symbol or an idea. As a sculptor, I primarily utilize clay for its malleability and limitless potential of transformative qualities. I select different strategies of creating that are specific for each sculpture. I use a multitude of inventive techniques to create my artwork that often employ repetitive and obsessive forms of making. The act of crafting something; not only what is made, but the intent on how it is made is the force that drives me.
