The feel of the clay when it's straight from the bag Sgraffito designs that zig and then zag Porcelain vases from dynasty Ming These are a few of my favorite things Cradling your hands 'round bisque that's still warm Finding the intersection of function and form The anticipation that kiln opening brings These are a few of my favorite things Ribbons of clay that fly off when you trim Using a chamois to soften a rim Throwing a vase from the wheel head it springs These are a few of my favorite things When the dog bites, when the bee stings When I'm feeling sad I simply remember my favorite things And then I don't feel so bad
