This series of ocarinas (or whistles) gathers the memories of my childhood: from playing with a whistle that sang like a bird, to shaping the black earth in my grandmother’s yard. It was a practice driven by a curiosity to create and a deep sense of communion, mimicking bird calls through clay. I seek to evoke this essence of play through the colors, the serene facial expressions, and the eternal present of the game itself. For me, this work represents Liviandad—the lightness that exists in the pure enjoyment of play, and the effortless ease of creation as an innate act of infancy, a feeling I wish to rediscover in my own creative practice as an adult.
