In this sculpture, I explore the relationship between human and animal behavior through a hybrid anthropomorphic figure resembling a simplified doll made of black clay. The rounded limbs and exaggerated feet contrast with the bird-like head, whose pointed beak and glossy eyes merge human and avian characteristics into a vulnerable presence. Surrounding the head is a dense layer of pale green pebble-like forms resembling organic growths or a protective cocoon, emphasizing themes of shelter, adaptation and transformation. By using a pigeon head, I reflect on how these birds, once domesticated and relied upon for communication and survival, were abandoned to adapt to urban environments and later labeled as pests. The sculpture questions this contradiction, suggesting that the conditions we reject in nature are often consequences of human actions.
