“Kingfisher’s Catch” is a mixed media ceramic sculpture exploring transformation and resilience. Originally inspired by a damaged hummingbird sculpture, the piece evolved into a kingfisher actively fishing, holding a delicate rod with a suspended ceramic fish. Combining ceramic, epoxy, and found materials, inspired by transformation, innovation, and adaptation within the natural world, the piece combines realism with playful surrealist elements.
