Artist Gayle took inspiration from the roosters and chickens living on every corner of the Key West streets. As they prepare to leave the tiny island they call their home town, they draw inspiration from it, stopping to appreciate the parts that have become so mundane, and bringing it with them to their new roosting place of Philadelphia. New Roost is made from stoneware with a high temp wire as support for the legs, and real rooster feathers, from the artists personal collection, gathered over the years.
