"Crossed Legs", 2023, is an assisted readymade containing ceramic components from two sources: legs from an altered Norman Rockwell figurine attached to a Meissen teacup with epoxy. Thematically this work explores aspects of brand identity & queer theory in a mashup format. Here, the Meissen crossed swords factory mark is obscured & reinterpreted as “crossed legs” in an effort to queer the object.
