These forms are considered by the artist to be living yet fossilized messages from other places and times. The “Beings,” as named by the artist, bring accolades and warnings alike. They come from our ancestors, our future and past selves, our decedents, and even those we may will never meet or know. Some are formed to be the same size, shape, tactile quality, and color but the firing and finishing process create distinctive features. Each is entirely unique regardless of any efforts to duplicate or homogenize. Much like humans, the Beings can be grouped into the whole or they can be singled out and excluded based on a single attribute assigned to them only by chance.
