The Clay Studio Classes, Open Studio, Galleries & Admin Offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

This little beaver was formed keeping the bare clay using an earthy clay color, hazelnut, which emulates the tone of a living creature, even if this one is more of a caricature. The realistic under glazed then glazed apple is a contrast in surface treatment as well as a contrast of the realistic painted apple verses the beaver itself. A video of a beaver grasping various fruits inspired my little guy; it made me smile as I hope this one will for others.
