Using a reverse painting technique, I took a photograph of a window, placed if behind glass and started painting the image with oil paint. Once the paint dried I scraped it off the glass, giving life to a new object and bringing the physicality of the paint to a fragile, yet archival paint chip. Its is now a solid oil painting sculpture- no canvas, no glass (sturdy enough to be displayed without support).
