The first three pairs of earrings were printed using a Form 2 3D printer and clear photopolymer resin. I decided to keep Brittle Boned 3 as is, but the other two I used to experiment with different ways of coloring the prints. I used a bright pink pigment, which I found really altered the readability of the vertebrae because of the scale they were printed at. That being said, I am really happy with the color and the ambiguity that the pigment created.
The second pair was colored using an alcohol dye. While they are not as bright as the first pair, I still think the color is nice. The alcohol dyes allowed the noticeable imagery of the vertebrae remain, as it was only a thin layer of coloring painted on the surface.
