Ananda Voecks

Noomina Design is inspired by the idea that everything around us has some sentience, that we are surrounded by things that each have their own ideas. Noomina is a play on the latin word "numina", which means divine spirits. What I like to create are explorations of materials made to accompany life with a playful spirit. My hope is that the things I make, whether made from metals, ceramics, or textiles, take on meaning by living amongst people and having a place in their lives.
