My ceramic sculptures are created as an outlet to process and convey the unnerving events of lived experience. The aesthetic of my work strives to create an environment that is all encompassing. Often imitating the dreamlike atmosphere of a dysfunctional, feminine childhood experience, my work frequently incorporates experiences such as the loss of identity, innocence, and uncertainty. My practice is focused on handbuilt ceramic sculptures, both 3D sculptures and wall pieces, with an emphasis on creative installation. My work includes external media in the form of horror-fiction narratives that are original to each piece. With each sculpture, installation, and text, I attempt to reach out to the frightened child that dwells inside each member of my audience.
