Christine Chiang is an interdisciplinary artist who approaches making as a form of enquiry. She is interested in how materials hold, transmit, and transform knowledge through time. For Chiang, making is less a means of expressing certainty than a way of corresponding with materials, remaining attentive to what they reveal. Her work asks how culture persists not only through preservation, but through repeated acts of making, handling, and sharing.
