Alexandra Palmer

My ceramic work is grounded in the use of locally sourced North Carolina clays, capturing the natural colors and textures of the landscape. I rely on my hands, simple tools, natural materials, and traditional wood-firing techniques, minimizing the use of heavily processed elements. Influenced by both Japanese pottery traditions and American ceramics, my work reflects a lifelong exploration shaped by personal experience, material curiosity, and an ongoing dialogue between culture, clay, and fire.
