Angela Tong

I am a Chinese American artist working in both clay and fiber, with a practice centered on texture, form, and the expressive potential of handmade objects. In clay, I begin with wheel thrown vessels and then alter them, pushing and reshaping the forms to create pieces that balance simplicity with subtle movement. My functional pottery reflects a quiet, refined elegance, where proportion and surface are carefully considered.
