Ezenwa W

EZENWA’s ceramic sculpture is currently fixed on constructing polyhedra from slabs. Time is spent sizing sides and expressing angles, by accurately beveling each slab’s edges. They have found, using math they used to enjoy, how to help twenty triangles comfortably join to share the very space they create (as an icosahedron). The icosahedron, of twenty triangles, and the dodecahedron, of twelve pentagons, inspire EZENWA to take the time to create space. Each successful and unsuccessful rendering of a polyhedron is a reminder of how beautiful math can be when everything/every(body) is accounted for.
