Vanna Ramirez

I am an American artist of Taiwanese and Salvadoran descent working primarily with clay, a material formed from many different earths that offers a parallel to my own multicultural identity and experiences. Guided by intuition, play, and experimentation, I create sculptures that explore wonder and memory. I am fascinated by the inclusion of light and sound within my work as a way of questioning expectations and inspiring curiosity. Through clay's transformative nature, I create objects that invite viewers to experience the familiar in unexpected ways.
