My work surveys the emotional landscape of womanhood, using the figure and bodily sensations as inspiration for abstracted, lively sculptures. I draw from lived emotions and shape them into forms that bend, swell, twist, and stretch. My forms are not depictions of the body; rather, they are impressions that are shaped through organic building and vibrant surfaces that evoke a sense of presence. Color and texture are central to how I construct meaning. I use layered surfaces, tactile glazes, and hand-built motifs to reflect the physical and psychological experience of being in one’s own skin. I am interested in the shift between inner and outer worlds, from how we shield and reveal ourselves, and how this dynamic changes over time. My sculptures explore the interplay and tension between containment and exposure. Inviting reflection on how we inhabit our bodies, mend ourselves, and how traces of our past remain visible.
