It almost feels like scratching through the soil to find a smooth surface, fragmented by the physicality of time. Or it feels like scratching at that bump on your leg, wondering if you are growing a new bone in the wrong direction. I'm researching the intersection of bodily transformation and when symbolism shifts to create something completely new. Imagery and sculptures have long been mediums for symbolism. The history behind the mediums impacts our perception when reading into a piece of artwork.
