My recent work is an extension of my college thesis. I am exploring negative space and texture through abstracted octopus tentacles. My work is based in formalism, with the creation and meticulous details put into each piece lending to the overall meaning. I like to create the tentacles as a way to practice mindfulness and patience since each piece can take anywhere from an hour, to my largest piece coming in at 40 hours of collective work.
