Hannah Groff

Originally from Australia, now based in Brooklyn NY, I am a ceramicist working under the name ‘G’day Thrillseekers’ , creating ceramic tableware and one off sculptural and decorative vessels using traditional wheel throwing and hand building techniques. Drawing on my background in architecture and illustration, each piece is meticulously made by hand with a focus on precision, lightness and craftsmanship. The bold, bright illustrations contrast with the earthy, traditional finishes of the clay, and often pieces are left unglazed externally to let the precision and texture of the clay shine. My making process and themes come from a love for the outdoors, exploration and fine craftsmanship of everyday products.
