Material, alchemy, reference to time/earth/fossil/preservation/excavation, and archive. Feedback loops. Sustainability and transformative process/action. My work conjugates these experiences through a dedicated practice of engaging, remembering, and releasing. The boundaries of object, material, and person are all permeable and preferably undefined. Grounding in the scientific method is a means to cope, to understand myself, and to perhaps arrive at equilibrium through the transmutation of thought/energy/time into tangible, permanent object.
