Making satisfies an unyielding urge to research, problem-solve, learn, and take risks—and there is no better material than clay for that. Humbling, challenging, responsive, and sensorial, clay engages both my hands and my mind. The pieces I create hold meaning beyond their everyday function: butter dishes that bring ceremony to the countertop, wall hooks that animate both clothes and imaginations, cake toppers that elevate the candle as well as the occasion. My work lives in the space between utility and sculpture—familiar yet unexpected—where daily use becomes a small act of celebration.
