My work uses the human and animal form as a vehicle to examine emotional upheavals, ponder cycles of birth and death, and explore the interconnection and tension between humanity and the natural world. These intuitive sculptures become introspective emblems of resilience and restitution, often revealing an intricate, unseen connection while also conveying apprehension and vulnerability. Even where there is beauty and kinship, there is decay and brokenness. I am interested in this push and pull between beauty and brokenness.
