My studio practice explores the role of objects as foundational markers for collective memories through ceramic, installation, digital photography, and assemblage. I imagine the things that surround us existing in dual states of agency; their meanings determined by our interactions with them at the same moment as their mere existences are shaping our worldly experiences. Working with a sense of realism, I intend not to render things exactly as they are but as shadows of themselves; reflections of a collective past.
