Libby Cass

With a background in engineering, I appreciate the precision and control of working on the wheel. I am especially drawn to the challenge of creating lidded vessels, where each component must fit together like a puzzle. In my forms, I seek visual balance through soft, gentle curves and clean, minimal lines. As a lover of nature, I often incorporate sculptural elements inspired by animals and other creatures that have recently captured my attention. These elements bring a sense of playfulness and personality to my work. Pottery allows me to combine my love of problem-solving with the joy of making objects that can be used, appreciated, and hopefully bring a little delight to everyday life.
