The Clay Studio offices, galleries, open studio, and school will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in honor of the Independence Day Holiday.
Catalina Carlton
Catalina uses humor, playfulness, and mindfulness to create works that elicit introspection. Her aesthetic decision making is largely a response to the immediate challenges she faces in her craft and herself. Working to heal and make something useful of the wounds and instabilities created by pushing the boundaries of clay translates directly to healing trauma via the process of art. She prefers to work intuitively in order to allow for the discovery of subconscious thoughts and emotions that appear in the finished work.
