SARAH STEININGER

I am inspired by human vulnerability and frailty. I believe that our weaknesses and mistakes can be life-changing gifts and teachers. Symbolically, the malleability of clay and ceramic materials is the perfect medium to express lessons on resilience, strength, and fragility. I created my fail series to use both text and the unpredictability of carbon trapping glazes to tell a story about making mistakes and learning.
