Yvonne Halfens

The human figure is my subject. But not in a realistic way. It enables me to tell something about the human condition. I can explore emotions, states of mind and human failure by using the human body. I like to doubt, to reconsider, to dream, to observe destruction and point out things other people might want to ignore. I consider my work as visual poems. I mainly work with clay but also with other materials such as paper, concrete or fabrics.
