Isn't our world so wonderful?
In my work I often celebrate nature because how can one not be amazed by our complex earth. I love sharing some of my favorite aspects of the natural world. I draw the attention of others as if to say, look at this marvelous thing!
Recently I’ve been focusing on human nature and how no matter when or where we are from, humans have always been the same passionate creatures. We feel the same emotions and tell the same stories. Through my work I choose to highlight some of the universalities I observe.
One thing that is innately human is to work in clay; we are all compelled to create and clay has been our constant companion. I am but one in an infinite line of people working in clay on this earth and although individuals come and go, the ceramics they leave behind survive. Thus I can preserve my thoughts and immortalize some of my favorite observations.
