A friend convinced me to take pottery lessons on my semester abroad in Japan when I went to 'find' myself during a junior year abroad a lifetime ago and from that moment, I never looked back! I've been teaching clay and making pots ever since. It's been a rocky road to find my way in clay but it never fails to thrill me when I open a kiln. No matter how tired I am of going to the studio, I am always fine when I leave it. I like making pots and the search for integrity in what I make, no matter how difficult it is to keep moving on, it is what keeps me from feeling there is an order to my life and a road to keep following...
