Bri Larson

I create whimsical, cozy art that brings joy to peoples lives. My work focuses on narratives and scenes found in neighborhoods - both the home and outdoors - bringing us closer together through illustrations. I decorate all over the pots, leaving no inch undrawn, even on the bottoms of each pot. I create both repeating images of birds and nature as well as narrative imagery. Stories are drawn on pots, expressing memories and feelings related to my own childhood and raising my 3 year old daughter. These narrative pots are rooted in nostalgia and solidify these moments in parenthood and childhood that are both formative and also easily forgotten. Cats are one of the perfect animals to express these stories as they are expressive, fun and there is a deep history of “cats doing things” in art. The bird pots are inspired by the birds around me, expressing not only my love of these creatures but also the joys of birdwatching with my daughter. Each pot is a love letter to our natural world, childhood nostalgia and making new memories with the ones we love.
