Abigail Berkson

My work is completely handcrafted from start to finish. All of my work is thrown and trimmed on the potter’s wheel with high standards of craftsmanship. Great care is given to the weight of the object, the feel of the handle, and the overall balance of form and function. Every piece is hand illustrated to create a one-of-a-kind object. My lifelong love of pattern, color, textile design, and illustration inform my surface decoration. I use a variety of techniques including slip trailing, painting, and hand drawn underglaze transfers.
