Ashley Porrini

Ashley Porrini was born & raised just outside of Philadelphia, Pa to a family of artisans & makers. Her work explores machine manufactured experiences in the form of 90s consumer objects. She focuses on the idea of mass produced happiness, our internal dialog, and blurs the lines between commercial messages and lived realities. With a visual abundance of bright colors and hand drawn images, we question memory and the stories told through the meaning of everyday items and places while looking at her work. Have you ever tried to save a bowl of cereal forever? Porrini has! Her work brings joy and inspires the inner child in all of its viewers.
