My ceramic work generally evokes naivety and spontaneity. In a way that one might consider childish, I draw or build sweet monsters everywhere and endlessly. Depending on my imagination and the stories I tell myself, I create strange narrative spaces where they mingle childhood and adolescence, humans and animals.
The hybrid figures that emerge often follow me for a while, haunt my thoughts and reappear in my work.
My interpretation of pottery is humble, creative and fun, I want them to connect with adults as well as children.
