For as far back as I can remember, I have been a maker. Over the past 25 years, I have worked with porcelain, to create beautifully crafted, small batch, functional and sculptural objects, that have personality and whimsy. Hand building with thinly rolled, textured slabs is a slow process, but one that allows me to carefully consider every step of making and to respond to the clay as the pieces develop. I am inspired by shapes, patterns and textures that I recall from my memories and experiences and it is important that the pieces are interesting to look at, to hold and to use.
