Jennifer ODonnell -Danza

During a recent vacation trip I was able to watch some fish moving gracefully through the water and was inspired to create a body of work that explored the graceful, free flowing, almost dance-like movements of sea life against the contrasts of their surroundings. To push the exploration of contrasts I decided to use a white stoneware clay in combination with a layering of unique and opposing glazes. The stark elements created an ebb and flow of harmony which helped bring forth the idea that life is a dance between contrasts, even within the smallest of spaces.
