Michelle Im

Michelle Im is a Korean American artist working in Brooklyn, NY. For Im, craft has the transformative power to enrich the cultural landscape of everyday life and strengthen human connections. She decorates her ceramics with playful and rhythmic patterns, often depicting nature and animal themes. Her project RATxCHICKS, reflects an inner world of fantasy and humor in the form of functional and sculptural work. She received the Madeline Sadin Award in 2015 at the historic Greenwich House Pottery in New York City. She graduated with a degree in biology and art from The State University of New York at Buffalo in 2008 and her dream is to one day breed rats with birds.
